The Darkness #78 will arrive in stores on July 9 from Image Comics. The issue is written by Phil Hester, with art by Nelson Blake II and a cover by Michael Avon Oeming.

Here's how Image describes the issue:

"For months Jackie Estacado, bearer of The Darkness, has been separated from his power and manipulated by the mysterious Sovereign. But every man has his breaking point and a team of The Sovereign's mercenaries are about to find out what happens when Jackie reaches his limit."

The Darkness #78 will be 32 pages and will cost $2.99.
