Staff writer, David Pinckney, has submitted his latest article, Where to start: The Goon.

We all have heard from people who want to get into comics but don't know where to start. Some series are just too obscure and feel to distant from a new reader's realm of comfort while others have issues in the hundreds and there doesn't seem to be a good jumping on point. So where do we start and how do we know what's good to read or if it's even easy enough to get into. Personally, I believe trades are the easiest way to get into a series that may have been going on for a few years. With that in mind I began reading the Goon by Eric Powell, with the intent of explaining if this comic is easy enough to get into and who'd like it.
