Life can be tough on a couple of bank robbers, especially if after a nasty bank job all they want to do is escape to old Mexico but end up in a vampire-infested roadhouse bar.
Like the Quentin Tarentino/Robert Rodriguez film, the comic adaptation revels in over-the-top gore and vampire lore, all transplanted to the frenzied U.S./Mexico border culture of guns and biker gangs. Brothers Seth and Richard Gecko have a bag full of stolen loot and a plan to hide out south of the border. With some convenient hostages in tow, they await a rendezvous at a border bar. It’s just too bad they picked a bar inhabited by a vampire coven.
