Inside all of us is the nagging suspicion that we are destined for more, but for Michael Grey, it's a thought he can't shake. He's been stumbling through life as if in a dream. Day-in & day-out he goes to his hum drum job, and goes home to watch the same TV programs he watched last week. The only spark in his life is an awkward-flirty romance with Claire, a young delivery girl. After saving a child from a flash flood, Grey's life begins to change. Strange thoughts begin to fill his mind, hints to a past that's impossible complex and older than mankind.
