Yellowjacket Comics was published by E. Levy from 1944-1946 and lasted ten issues.

The lead feature in this series is a routine costumed hero called Yellowjacket. Why is this horror you ask? Well, in a back-page filler we see a comic called Tales of Terror. This is an early example of horror in comics and features perhaps the first comic book appearance of the now-standard device of a horror “host”—in this case, an old witch who narrates the tale and provides its moral.
