A stranger carrying a large knife enters a household where the child and mother are abused daily by the husband. The stranger retaliates for the helpless victims with deadly force. A police investigation ensues and we learn this is not the first time it has happened. Dr. Tannen, a psychiatric doctor, knows the stranger as Johnny, is well aware of his activities.
