Doctor Occult is unique in that he is truly in touch with both his male and female sides. In fact, he switches between them constantly, becoming in an instant either the male Doctor Occult or the female Rose. By using both sides in his investigations, he is able to sense things which otherwise would elude him. Always, it was the balance between male and female that had been his strength.

But in investigating the case of a girl named Rachel, he suddenly found his two sides torn apart. The forces of Chaos, in the form of his old enemy Koth, had seduced Rose—and unless Doctor Occult could somehow solve the age-old mystery that unites the sexes, he will die!
