Corvus Rex: A Legacy of Shadows was published by Crow in 1996.

The Harlequin has existed as legend throughout the ages, from Italy to France and England. Considered to be a clown or fool, his true character was not mischievous and funny, but rather malicious and sinister.

Also known as the Herle King, in reality he is one of the oldest and most powerful members of a race whose origins have been lost in the shadows of time. Even amongst his own kind he is known for his savage and unpredictable nature.

The Herle King controls the portal to our world, and is not above killing his own kind to achieve his wicked ends. In 1931, two young women were present when one of the race came through the portal. Now elderly women, they still remember that fateful day.

Many questions remain unanswered. How do several mutilation murders relate to the Herle King’s evil plans? And how do the women and their god-daughter figure into his plot?
