Las Vegas. Sin City. A place where millions of dreams have been born, and even more have died. So it's a fitting place for the ultimate a showdown between Jesus and his crew and the evil forces gathered against them. But with the combined forces of the mysterious Hooded Man, Zombie Angel Gabriel, a zombified werewolf, and a virtual army of the walking dead, are the odds insurmountably stacked against them?
We caught up with writer, Stephen Lindsay,
to talk about Jesus Hates Zombies Featuring Lincoln Hates Werewolves Volume 4.
The Big
Bad Wolf: With the final chapter upon us, what can readers expect to see in this book?
Stephen Lindsay: Darkness. I thought the 3rd volume would be the darkest volume of the series, but as
this final volume moved along, I realized that these characters hadn't really been tested
enough yet. That, and there's a lot of blood.
The Big Bad Wolf: Can you give us any hints on the identity of this hooded man?
Stephen Lindsay:
Not much, because it'll give a lot away. But let's just say that he's much more powerful
than we've previously seen.
The Big Bad Wolf:
JHZ has produced many memorable death scenes. Can you spill the beans on a
favorite of yours in volume 4?
Stephen Lindsay:
Wow... There are so many! One in particular is going to get my strung up by the fans, but
I can't say what it is...
The Big Bad Wolf: Do you plan on revisiting the JHZ world or is it put to rest with this
final chapter?
Stephen Lindsay:
I definitely plan on carrying it on. The zombie storyline is coming to an end, but the
adventures of Jesus and Lincoln will absolutely be soldiering on.
The Big Bad Wolf: Have you received any memorable hate mail about JHZ since last time we
chatted?
Stephen Lindsay:
NO! I still think the same reasoning holds true - people that would be offended by the
book don't have any exposure to it. If I was a more well known writer, I think the hate
mail may come in. But until then, I think I'm pretty well insulated from it.
The Big Bad Wolf: Have there been any new updates on moving this comic into other types of
media?
Stephen Lindsay:
Yes, but not that I can really talk about. Let's just say that the adventures of
Jesus and Lincoln MAY be coming to a theater near you one of these days.
The Big Bad Wolf: When is the release date and how much is the book?
Stephen Lindsay:
The book is coming out in May and will have the same $6.95 price as the last 2.
The Big Bad Wolf: Where can our readers keep up to date on JHZV4?
Stephen Lindsay:
The best places for updates are my Facebook page (facebook.com/StephenRL) and
my Twitter feed (twitter.com/StephenRL). I update both of those constantly!
The Big Bad Wolf: In closing, what would you like to say to our readers about Jesus Hates
Zombies Featuring Lincoln Hates Werewolves Volume 4?
Stephen Lindsay:
I want people to bear in mind that Jesus' purpose on Earth is to shoulder the brunt
of the suffering for us. That sentiment holds true in Vol. 4 in a big way!
The Big Bad Wolf: Thank you for your time,
Stephen. Best of luck with JHZV4!
