Horror News Network: Tell us about the main character in this book.

Nat Jones: The main character's name is Dominico, he is a travelling performer in renaissance Italy who likes to play with fire.

Horror News Network: What is the concept behind the book?

Nat Jones: Kodiak tells the story of Dominico and his fellow performers as they encounter the children of a Duke at a performance...Oh, and there are bears.

Horror News Network: Does this character have the ability to shift into a were-bear?

Nat Jones: I guess you will just have to read it to find out.

Horror News Network: What can horror fans expect from this book in terms of your artwork in this one?

Nat Jones: The art was handled very differently in Kodiak than in past projects, the art is much more painterly. From my initial inks and washes to the colors by Jay Fotos we wanted evoke a story book feel that fit with a period piece.

Horror News Network: How is it working with writer Joe Hill?

Nat Jones: Working with Joe and Jason was great. Joe is one of the top talents out there and having the opportunity to work with him was something I just couldn't pass up.
