Z-Time interview with Fernando SosaZ-Time interview with Fernando Sosa

A zombie anthology spanning time and space, with stories from pre-historic Earth, the Roman Empire, World War 1, Future Earth, Aliens and more! Aliens land on planet Earth in our not-too-distant future and find a desolate planet. In order to discover what caused the devastation the aliens enter a museum and are able to look into Earth’s past using the artifacts on display.

We caught up with creator, Fernando Sosa, to talk about Z-Time.

Horror News Network: Can you give us a synopsis of the stories in Z-Time?

Fernando Sosa: Hello, first of all thank you very much for the space and interview.

In answer to your question, Z-time is a story of horror and zombies over time.
The story begins after the arrival of a lot of space travelers, aliens, who arrive on our planet which is desolate without apparent signs of life.

The aliens are inspecting a museum trying to find out about us a little more and our history. During that search, the aliens encounter various objects of human history from prehistoric, Roman, Middle Ages, the revolution French, the 2 World Wars, until the last days of what would be our not too distant future.

Horror News Network: Who are the creative teams involved in this book?

Fernando Sosa: The creative team that makes up this book, is the most varied, is a real project that we have been brewing for 4 years with the emergence of our group of artists called Barricada Comics.

From there, we work on these specials and other interesting content, ranging from horror, to the classic superheroes, fantasy and sci-fi.
I worked with the great help of my partner, the gifted Spanish writer, Pedro Belushi.

Pedro coordinated a large group of artists in his country and Argentina.

He then divided these groups of writers and artists, into teams and out of their mutual collaboration came this book.

We have artists from Argentina, Venezuela, Peru and Spain, and all over. These are very talented people that maybe haven’t had a chance to show their art. This project now lets them do that.

Here are the artists and writers who are involved:

Guillermo Romano, Cesar Acevedo, Juan Alarcon, Javier Quijano Lliacan Francisco Viloria, Pater, Robert Corroto, DavidBraña, Pedro Belushi, Roberto Corral, Stagni Franco, Anna Raven, John Alarcon, Santiago Eximero, Martin Cagliani, Julio Loyola, Julian Cardozo, John Aragon, AlexSegura,Javier Quiñones,Pablo Zambrano and who writes them as editor and coordinator from Cordoba Argentina.

Horror News Network: What can we expect in terms of blood and guts?

Fernando Sosa: That’s the million dollar question. You can expect not just blood, guts and bile everywhere, but you also find a large, solid script!

Horror News Network: Can we expect more Z-Time in the future?

Fernando Sosa: We'd love to. In fact, the horror is one of my specialties and I think everyone involved enjoyed creating and making this kind of stories.

Hopefully more Z-Time will arise from Markosia.

Horror News Network: Where can our readers find out more about Z-Time?

Fernando Sosa: There are two sites. We justlaunched our material, available for printed on demand: http://wi-fidigitalpress.com/

There you will find our latest updates of releases and projects.

You Can Also visit online to read our stories and updates on the blog of our study, Barricada comics: http://fanzinebarricada.blogspot.com/

Horror News Network: In closing, what would you like to say to our readers about Z-Time?

Fernando Sosa: Every story was the fruit of hard work. We all enjoyed it and have love for the story, the genre and the reader.

We wanted the stories to remind readers of classic titles like Creepy, Eerie and Tales from the Crypt.

I hope readers have as much fun going through this book as we did creating it.
