Steve Niles's hardboiled detective against occult enemies has moved to Universal studios in deal with Dark Horse.

Thomas Jane (Mist, Punisher, Dreamcatcher) has already been in the covers as a model for the main character, Cal McDonald.

In an interview Jane admitted interestest in the role:

I heard about this a lil bit on a interview on youtube with him talking about the comic an book an that there was a plan for the movie but he wouldn't say anything else, very cool stuff

Thomas Jane would be perfect for the role of Cal. He has that gritty, hard edged feel on camera that would be necessary for the part of Cal.

Cal was based on Tom Jane and he does say he would like to play Cal
