DORIS DANGER SEEKS WHERE URBAN CREATURES CREEP & STOMP!

Review by: TheBigBadWolfMonster Comic

How often do you think of giant monsters destroying a city? If you are like most normal people, the thought has to cross your mind at least 20 times per day. Are you a fan of big monsters? Do you watch the untitled JJ Abrams project trailer for hours on end? Does seeing a monster drawn by Jack Kirby give you a warm, fuzzy feeling on the inside? If so, then “DORIS DANGER SEEKS WHERE URBAN CREATURES CREEP & STOMP!” may be what you are craving.

Let me be clear, this book will not strike fear into you, but it may very well strike your funny bone. Think back for a moment of the “big monster’ books of the 60’s. Human’s panicked, terrified, in awe! Military forces across the world called to action to stop them! Ah, the good ol’ days.

Monsters, government cover up’s, The Monster Liberation Army (MLA), reporters, panicked citizens, and much, much more. Chris Wisnia packs a load of fun into this book. You really have to admire the passion that goes into self-publishing a book. Chris even features monster pin-ups by other great artists in the back of the book. The time and effort are clearly there. Chris draws from his passion of Kirby-esque monsters to put forth a superb comic book.

This book is not for fans who like hardcore horror and blood squirting everywhere. But, if you like Kirby-esque style monsters, some in diapers, this is for you.

What a really fun book. Run for your lives! The monsters are back!

Overall: 4 1/2 out of 5
