John Cartwright witnesses a monster, Titan, emerge from the sea. Titan has come to pave the way for invasion. However, he knows little of humanity's defenses, and offers wealth to any man who will tell him. Cartwright, to the horror of his fellow men, accepts the offer. Taken to the undersea kingdom, John begins to lie his rear off, telling of shrinking machines, disintegrators, and anti-gravity rays. Since this information cannot help their cause, they kill John and call off their invasion. Meanwhile, the countries of the world have finally united in peace, awaiting the attack that will never happen.
