The Martian came to earth and began using its weapon in order to send buildings from earth to Mars, where his people could study the humans inside, and prepare for an invasion of earth. Humans soon found his spacecraft, but although they tried to stop him, he would still strike every evening, taking several more homes back to Mars.
However, he was finally brought down when a young man noticed that the Martian struck only at night, and his vessel bore no lighting instruments. Ascertaining that the Martian could not bear intense light, the police bombarded the Martian with powerful lamps, bringing him under their thumb. The Martian showed them how to return everyone who had been captured, then he was set free, and returned to Mars.
