Artwork: 3.0 out of 5
WHOA! What the hell is this I have in my hands! Yuck #1 huh? Alright
cool, lets see how gross this artwork can really be shall we. Starting
with the cover and back cover this is the only color we are treated to.
While I find both to be low in detail, I am still so interested in
opening this issue. Inside we are treated to black and white stories. No
keep in mind friends that I know a little about the underground comic
look, so to me this book fits the mold. Does that mean that were treated
to award winning art? No, we are instead treated to obscure bliss that
works. So why the 3.0 score, because of that reason alone. Were not
winning awards but we are selling this on all levels and it is a winner.
Story: 3.5 out of 5
The artwork can only be as gross and disturbing as the story calls for,
so when you check this one out be prepared for what your going to read.
The title sells it before you open a page. Were treated to talking
dresses, animal cannibalism, out of this world love, Nazis and so much
more. This book pushes the boundaries, but from what I know about the
genre it is what to expect. I really enjoyed most stories, some I felt
may have been a little blah, but overall I was happy with what was
presented.
Dying Breath: 3.5 out of 5
Plain and simple, it says adults only on the cover, so expect adult
material. Now that doesn’t mean porn, it means no kids because the humor
is not directed at them. The artwork is great, hell I was surprised to
see Jason Paulos drew a story. I can’t pick favorites on this one but I
enjoyed Rapist Rapist, The Great Leap Forward and How
I Met Your Mother the most. Fans of underground comics should
check this one out. People who may be interested in the style should
check this one out. And as a special treat to all of you readers I am
going to use the phrase Down-Underground Comics because these come to us
from Australia. Great stuff that I feel is worth checking out. I want
more now!
