Drain #1

Writer: C.B.Cebulski
Artists: Sana Takeda
Publisher: Image Comics

Review by: Rob Caprilozzi

Blood. Gore. Vampires. Ninjas.

The newest release from Image Comics, Drain, sports all of the above. The main character, Chinatsu, is a female ninja turned vampire who is seeking revenge on the one who turned her. Having been turned for over 400 years, Chinatsu has battled undead minions across the globe, through myriad time periods.

Drain has many similarities to the original Blade movie, including its main character being a "Daywalker". Issue one ends with something pretty unexpected which will make most fans pick up issue #2.

Some nice artwork from Sana Takeda mixed with a decent story from C.B.Cebulski make Drain #1 something fans of the vampire genre should at least check out.

Overall: 3 out of 5
