Our thoughts: Like your spell-casting thieves to have a good looks and a little attitude? Meet Lucifer, a young Brazilian thief who earns her living stealing supernatural objects. Written and created by Michael Alan Nelson (FALL OF CTHULHU), Hexed is a horror comic that is focused less on blood and gore and more on fantasy and mystery. In Issue #2 ďThe Devil I Know Part 2: Wherein Lucifer Faces Unemployment and Receives an Unexpected Wake-up CallĒ, Nelson continues the tale of Lucifer and her former associates and introduces the mysterious Harlot while reminding us again how stinky Luciís job can be.

Emma Riosís character artwork appropriately alternates between expressive and subtle. She has taken on a lot of detail and action in the issue and handles it well. The colorist, Cris Peter, continues to play with maximum color and stunning contrast. Itís a great look, and with the green tank top and colorful backgrounds it ensures no one misses the pink bunny or the pink panties.

Hexed is a cleverly constructed comic that is continuing to intrigue. I will definitely pick up the next issue.

Read if you like: Anita Blake, Buffy, or any other strong, sexy women that canít seem to stay out of trouble for long.
