- Find your nearest friendly neighborhood comic shop! You can do this by calling 1-888-COMIC-BOOK or by visiting Diamond’s Comic Shop Locator Service. If you’re a subscription-only customer, you should know that miniseries are not part of the Marvel subscription plan and you’ll need to find someplace to buy the series! If there are no comic shops nearby, several sites online, like Mile High Comics, Midtown Comics or Lone Star Comics, offer new comics for minor shipping fees. (And some of these online shops offer substantial discounts if you subscribe to more than one title!)
- Stir up some buzz! Tell your local retailers that the miniseries is coming. Most of them probably do not keep such advance track of what products Marvel’s going to be releasing if they’re not in the current month’s MARVEL PREVIEWS. Let them know PAD is returning to do a miniseries, and remind them how well-received Mr. David’s previous run on the Hulk, as well as his specials “The Incredible Hulk: Future Imperfect” and “Hulk: The End,” were. (And woe unto the comic shop owner who didn’t order enough
copies of THE END--it’s salt in an open wound, baby!) It would behoove them to begin to advertise the book to customers, to engage them in conversation to begin to gauge interest.
- Voice your support for PAD by buying PAD’s other comics: “Madrox”
currently at Marvel Knights, “Fallen Angel” at DC, and “Soulsearchers & Company” at Claypool Comics. If you feel so inclined, drop by his weblog (peterdavid.malibulist.com) and tell him what you think of those titles and his HULK work (previous and forthcoming) when the topic turns that way.
